Press Release -
LSU School of Art presents: 8th Annual Summer Invitational Art Exhibition: American Dream. The Louisiana State University School of Art is hosting our 8th Annual Summer Invitational Art Exhibition: American Dream, which will run from July 11, 2009 to August 2, 2009 at our beautiful Glassell Gallery in the Shaw Center for the Arts. A public opening reception will be held on July 11, 2008, from 7-9 pm. This exhibition has become a much loved and anticipated summer institution and the crowds always flock to see what their favorite artists create in response to the theme. It’s a chance to see new works from some of the region’s finest artists and to revisit with old friends and meet new ones. The sixty+ participating artists include LSU faculty, alumni and local artists. They have been asked to create art in all media based on the theme of American Dream. We are planning the reception to be very much theme-oriented: Backyard BBQ, Music, etc.
Saturday, July 11, 2009 Time:7 :00pm - 9:00pm Alfred C. Glassell Jr. Exhibition Gallery at the Shaw Center 100 Lafayette St. Baton Rouge, LA.
